You can look up specific drugs and medications in each plan’s medication guide.
Each plan has its own medication guide, so be sure the one you look at matches the plan you are shopping for or are already enrolled in. It lists all the drugs the plan covers; plus any special rules you’ll need to follow with certain medications.
Once you join Florida Blue, you’ll be able to look up medications in your member account, compare costs across pharmacies, and so much more.
Think of it this way: in-network is about getting health care from the broad range of providers who are part of your health plan’s network.

In-network means a group of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers who have agreed to give you discounted rates because you're a Florida Blue member. We negotiate for you, so, you’ll pay less out-of-pocket when you get care. And they can’t send you a bill for more than what has been agreed to — this is called balance billing and you’re safe from it.

Out-of-network means you're getting care from providers who aren’t part of your health plan’s network. You’ll probably have higher out-of-pocket costs when you see an out-of-network provider and they may balance bill you for the full amount for your care. Don't worry — if it's an emergency, you're always covered.
Staying in-network usually saves you money due to pre-negotiated, discounted rates. It pays to stay in your health plan’s network, depending on your needs.

During your checkup, if you need medical tests or treatments, prescriptions, or a referral, you may have a cost share. When scheduling your checkup with a new doctor for the first time, ask if you need a new patient visit before your checkup. If so, you may have a cost share for the new patient visit.
