The quality and price of medical services can vary depending on where you go for office visits, imaging services and surgery, including inpatient and outpatient care. How can I save money on prescription costs?

There are plenty of ways to save money on prescriptions with your Florida Blue plan:

  • Compare costs of your medication at floridablue.com or on the app so you know you're paying the lowest amount.
  • Check other options to lower your cost. Many pharmacies, like Publix and Wal-Mart, offer common prescriptions like antibiotics for as low as $0.
  • Many generic maintenance drugs for diabetes, asthma, depression, high blood pressure or high cholesterol are available as low as $0 for a three-month supply using Florida Blue’s home delivery service.
  • Many insulin drugs for diabetes are available for as low as $0 - $5 for a 30-day supply, or $0 - $10 for a 90-day home delivery supply.1

  • Certain generic contraceptives are as low as $0 for many women.

  • Use home delivery for medications you take for 90 days or longer to save money and a trip to the pharmacy. To get started, do one of these things: 
    • Log in to your account and click My Plan then Pharmacy Resources then Home Delivery 
    • Call 888-723-7451
    • Call the number on the back of your member ID card and say, “Pharmacy” 
  • To find your Medication Guide, look in the Pharmacy section of  your account at floridablue.com.
