Understanding the different types of supplemental benefits

A critical illness or injury can cost you time and money. They can also add pressure to your family. Supplemental insurance plans can help by paying you cash if you suffer an injury, illness, or you need to stay in the hospital.

Say you slip and fall on a wet floor and break an arm, causing you to miss work. Your medical insurance will help pay your medical bills, but what about the other bills that pile up while you cannot work?

Supplemental insurance benefits pay you cash that you can use for anything you need, such as:

Medical and
non-medical expenses

Household
expenses

Childcare
expenses

Buying groceries
and other essentials

Supplemental insurance plans are designed to pay you in the event of an injury, illness, or hospital stay. Plans are affordable, and easy to file claims. Cash benefits are paid quickly after a claim, providing you with financial support when you need it most.
