Florida Blue Expands Primary Care Access in North Central Florida with Opening of Two New Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers

Florida Blue, the state’s leading health insurance provider, and Sanitas Medical Center (Sanitas) have opened two innovative primary care health centers in North Central Florida to support the Ocala area’s growing health and well-being needs. 

While Sanitas and Florida Blue have collaborated to provide primary care since 2015, these are the first locations in Marion County and among the many new Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers that opened in January 2025. The facilities provide comprehensive and highly personalized whole person care that brings together multiple primary care services in one convenient location.

Ten new locations opened earlier this month across Florida. This includes facilities in Jacksonville, Lakeland, Sarasota, North Port, Venice, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, and the two locations in Ocala. The two Marion County locations are:

Empowering Well-Being

Florida Blue | Sanitas Medical Centers provide services exclusively to members of Florida Blue commercial insurance plans who obtain coverage either through an individual plan or coverage through their employer. At the centers, members can get fast access to comprehensive primary care, diagnostic testing, common lab tests. Patients also have the option to choose in-person or 24/7 virtual visits. Offerings at the centers also include specialized care programs for nutrition, mental well-being, diabetes, and more, along with help to manage ongoing health concerns. In addition, care teams are available to help with social support and connections to community services.

Sanitas patients have access to full care teams, led by a primary care doctor. Together, these professionals work with each patient to simplify their health care experience, coordinate with other providers, and manage patients’ overall health.

Florida Blue brought the first of these medical centers to Florida in 2015 through a joint venture with the Sanitas parent company, Keralty, a leading global health care organization.
