JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - October 1, 2024

Florida Blue Medicare, a mission-driven organization and part of a not-for-profit mutual holding company serving the needs of Floridians, released details of its 2025 Medicare offerings for the 2025 Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).

During AEP, which runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, Medicare-eligible individuals can switch or join the Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan of their choosing for coverage effective Jan. 1, 2025.

"Choosing the right health coverage can be a complex and overwhelming process," says Camille Harrison, Florida Blue’s executive vice president of Medicare and chief innovation and experience officer. "That’s why we’re focused on providing health solutions that make it easier for our members to choose the plan that’s right for their individual needs, including hearing, vision and dental benefits. We also work closely with like-minded, innovative providers to make sure they share our vision and will provide the personalized care and services our members deserve.”

In 2025, significant changes are coming to the Medicare Advantage program, the largest transformation to Medicare in over 20 years since the addition of Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage.

“These changes will likely affect the benefits, premiums, and provider networks of Medicare Advantage plans across the industry,” says Lee Bowers, president of Florida Blue Medicare. “That’s why this year, especially, it's essential that individuals carefully review their health care options during AEP and make informed decisions to ensure they have the coverage that meets their needs.”

Florida Blue Medicare offers Medicare Advantage plan options in all 67 counties in Florida.

Many Medicare Advantage plans also include prescription coverage built in, as well as many comprehensive benefits and value-added perks, such as:
