Prescription drug coverage varies by plan to offer affordable choices for everyone. So, it’s important to understand your plan’s1 prescription drug coverage - from covered drugs and coverage requirements to cost shares2 and pharmacy choices.

If you have drug coverage through Florida Blue, you can log in to use the Drug Comparison tool and find a variety of helpful resources: It’s your one stop prescription shop!

  • Check your drug benefits and cost share2 amounts by Tier3.
  • Review your Medication Guide. Search quickly for medications using "find" with the search icon.
  • Compare drug costs: Enter a drug name to see your cost for generic4 vs.brand5 vs. a therapeutic alternative6 (if available). Plus savings with a 90-day supply.
  • Compare pharmacies. Choose up to five pharmacies to compare the cost at each.
  • Manage your mail-order drugs: check your order, view history, refill prescriptions, and transfer prescriptions.

4Generic drugs are sold under their common generic or chemical name. Generics have the same active ingredients as their brand name equivalents and have been found to be safe and effective by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

5Preferred means "preferred" over other brand drugs used for the same treatment. brand name and single-source generic drugs - higher fixed copayment: Some brand name drugs are designated as preferred brand drugs when generic alternatives aren’t available or do not adequately represent a therapeutic class.

6A therapeutic alternative is a brand or generic medication in the same therapeutic class that has different active ingredients and possibly a different strength than another drug.
